Berlin attracts creatives and artists, companies and investors. Whosoever leaves their footprint in the city should ensure that public places and a variety of urban life and space concepts emerge, and that an urban culture is developed that can continue to be shaped by others. The perfect “Berlin mix” is not created from a monoculture, but through diversity in architecture and conceptual use. So the vision is: more participation and involvement in order to allow a mix of commercial and non-commercial concepts to emerge. These create liveable places: “happy and healthy places”. In two consecutive panel discussions, we talk about implementing urban design through art and artists using the example of the Urban Nation Museum for Street Art. Furthermore, we talk about the transformation of urban architectural icons via the examples of Tempelhof and Hermannplatz.
