Fab Labs and makerspaces offer a huge potential to foster ecological sustainability. However, often such spaces are plagued by a lack of awareness and adequate tools, inhibiting the development of truly sustainable processes and solutions. At Fab Lab Berlin we are facilitating awareness in sustainable design and local production through a variety of tools and programs as part of the ecoMaker project, supported by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). Join our ecodesign meetup to discuss whether circular product development is a necessary and promising approach, or just another trend that will soon be forgotten.
