We pretend that Bertolt Brecht Square is a village square, perhaps in another country. We invite you to a cultivated game of boccia, and to a playful discourse about the public spaces and squares in Berlin. We interview Berlin as the city of squares while tranquilly playing boccia balls. We complain about Bertold Brecht Square and about the city.
We ask ourselves whether Berlin is still the big city of Berlin, even as it’s changing to fake signs, inhabitants and pictures? We ask you: what can the theatre do? We invite you to an old square, where an old theatre stands, and many tourists stroll, day in, day out. We would like to talk about places and spaces in Berlin over a glass of wine and a game of boccia, and interpret why everything is the way it is.
