Nafeh Kurdi fled from Damascus (Syria) to Germany in 2015. On his tour through the heart of Berlin, Nafeh links his personal experiences with the history of Divided Germany. He tells about the route he took to Germany and his arrival in Berlin, explains why the former border crossing point Checkpoint Charlie reminds him of his hometown and why he calls the Brandenburg gate “Gate of life”.

Route: The tour passes Potsdamer Platz, continues to Pariser Platz and ends at Unter den Linden 17. The route is barrier-free.
