The extraordinary site of the former Kindl brewery in Berlin’s Neukölln district is now the site of the KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art. Since October 2016, KINDL has presented international contemporary art across three floors in the ‘Maschinenhaus’ (Power House), and in the spectacular ‘Kesselhaus’ (Boiler House) with its twenty-metre-high ceiling. A guided tour will show the exceptional architecture of the building, as well as its repurposing as an art-space, and its integration into the ‘Rollberg Kiez’. Insights will further be given in the current exhibition of acclaimed artist-duo Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs, a show which also deals with questions of urban transformation.
