The Embassy Lab GRÜNtopia creates an interdisciplinary framework for crossover exchange between creative professionals, engaged citizens and decision-makers – together with Dutch, German, and international experts.

It consists of an afternoon program, which includes a series of short lectures and a workshop.

The program addresses a range of aspects addressing the integration of green areas in dense urban spaces, including the liveability of cities, climate adaptation, mitigating heat island effects, water-sensitive urban design, biodiversity, and urban food production.

With a special focus on innovative solutions for integrating green areas into buildings, Embassy Lab GRÜNtopia develops concepts for greening the Embassy’s courtyard VOID.

The program is curated by Prof. Elizabeth Sikiaridi and Prof. Frans Vogelaar of Hybrid Space Lab, together with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Berlin.
