Is it possible to produce food at urban roof-tops and in the city’s neighbourhoods — and fuel them sustainably — through the use of treated water and nutrients from the buildings? The ROOF WATER-FARM pilot plant, with its waterhouse and greenhouse, shows how so-far-unused urban resource flows can be reused for the cultivation of fish, fresh salad, and vegetables, as well as the production of urban fertilizer and service water. We will discuss how ROOF WATER-FARM can transform the city, its infrastructures and the daily life of people.
