A walking tour through the so-called ‘ring settlement’, Siemensstadt. In addition to a stopover in the Siemenstadt’s info station — a one-storey shop by Fred Forbat from the year 1929 — we also visit the roof studio of Hans Scharoun in a high-rise building of the post-war settlement, Charlottenburg-North. Siemensstadt is one of the six settlements that were registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2008, because of their social aims and their outstanding importance for 20th century urban planning and architecture.
