Professor of architectural theory, architectural history and design at the History/ Theory/ Criticism (HTC) platform. After studying theatre studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and the Technical University of Delft, she received her doctorate summa cum laude at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart on the written-theoretical work of Aldo Rossi. From 1993 to 2001 she was editor of the architectural journal ARCH+ (Berlin) and taught architectural theory and architectural history at the Technical University of Berlin, the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart at the University of Groningen and the Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck before being appointed to the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 2009.
