Managed by Die Zusammenarbeiter, the Spreefeld co-housing development comprises 44 apartments spread across three blocks. Ranging in size from 54m2 right up to 705m2 for a group, they are are home to some 130 people. Residents have struck the perfect balance – privacy as when they need it but also the communal benefits that come from living together. On any given night a group of people can be found cooking together whilst a lively program takes place in cultural and education space. Outside, the vibrant garden spaces are also the result of group efforts. There is no fence at Spreefeld – it’s various facilities are open to the city; so what are you waiting for?
