The symposium \u201cBeware of Smart People!\u201d, organised by J\u00f6rg Stollmann, addresses the conflictual reality in which Smart City approaches are currently unfolding. International scholars and practitioners will reflect on the \u201cSmart City\u201d as a contested paradigm; shift the discourse towards the notion of the urban as co-produced by many voices and actors. and attempt to redefine \u201cSmart City\u201d by putting ordinary citizens as \u201csmart people\u201d at the core of the debate.
