Program

Beelitz Sanatorium’s Quadrant D was one home to tuberculosis patients undergoing treatment. Today, three buildings – the women’s pavilion, the kitchen and the laundry block- comprising a total of 6200 square meters are being revamped into innovative new living and working space. Resisting the trend for such developments to turn into a gated communities, the pavilions, situated amidst verdant forests, serve as a rural retreat for creative minds – but maintain an urban focus thanks to a direct train connection to the city centre.
Real estate developer Frank Duske and architect Marc Schmidt will lead festivalgoers through the one abandoned sanatorium and provide a glimpse inside the future atelier-homes, currently under construction. From the Beelitz-Heilstätten train station, simply follow the signs.

Open House: 12:00 – 14:00 (Booked out!) & 16:00 (Booked out!)
