Moderator: Teresa Dillon, University of the West of England (UWE)

Teresa Dillon is an artist and researcher whose work focuses on the techno-civic that is the relationships between technology, infrastructure, people, species and cities, including their organisation, survival and governance. Her depth of knowledge and experience spans a rich body of work that crosses the independent and publically funded art, cultural and education sectors. Her current works focuses on RepairActs and cultures, recuperation and hospitality, infrastructural eco-literacies for the ‘smart’ city and urban sonic folklores and histories. She is a Humboldt Fellow and held research and teaching posts at Cambridge University, UK and Trinity College Dublin and curated HACK-THE-CITY at Science Gallery, Dublin (2012) and ‘anxious to make’ at transmediale/digital cultural festival (2016), Berlin. Since 2013 Teresa has directed Urban Knights an international programme of events that provokes and promotes practical approaches to urban governance and city living. She currently holds the post of Professor of City Futures at the School of Art and Design, University of the West of England (UWE).
