During Make City, the Spree will play host to two boat tours. The first, Mediaspree vs. Spreeufer for All, will consider the effects of property speculation along the river’s banks, whilst this second event will focus its public spaces. This time, join a group of landscape architects as they reflect upon possibilities for new development of the riverside’s urban commons which provide mixed use, communal spaces are accessible to all. Unless such spaces are designed with ‘smart’ concepts in mind, the waterside Volkspark will find itself submerged by the intentions of speculators.
