A game studio for exploring participatory approaches
Liebscher-Tauber und Tauber Architekten
Participation goes hand in hand with grass roots democracy. Yet many projects have demonstrated this notion can easily become one-dimensional. Successful participation arises when the diverse ideas that exist within a group are clearly identified – and differences accepted. Not only does this change the quality of communication, it also provides a real impetus for new architectural approaches. How participation can succeed is an open question that must be repositioned at the start of any new project. In this game-style studio talk, hosted by Liebscher Tauber + Tauber, initiators and planers from builder-owner collectives (Baugruppen) will meet with theorists and participants to discuss different approaches to participative projects.
